Hamilton Southeastern used two big quarters to sail past Ben Davis 77-61 in a Tuesday home game.
The Royals led 13-8 after the first period, but then blasted off in the second quarter, pouring in 27 points to take a 40-20 halftime lead. The Giants responded with 23 points in the third quarter, but Southeastern still led 54-43 when the period was finished. The Royals then put together a 23-point fourth quarter to seal the game.
Maya Makalusky scored 26 points for Southeastern, with Riley Makalusky adding 20 points. Lauren Stewart contributed nine points, while Olivia Brown had seven rebounds, six points, six steals and five assists. Kennedy Holman dished out four assists.
The Royals are 16-2 and host Westfield Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
