Westfield won a defensive game over Mount Vernon Tuesday, beating the Marauders 39-26 at CSI Gymnasium.
Mount Vernon led the Shamrocks 4-3 after the first quarter. Westfield came back to take a 14-12 lead at halftime, then zoomed through the third period, outscoring the Marauders 17-5 for a 31-17 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Ellie Kelleher led the Shamrocks’ scoring with 11 points, while Reagan Lorenzen hit three 3-pointers for nine points. Aubrey Crockett collected seven rebounds.
Westfield is 4-2 and goes on the road Saturday to play at Warsaw.

Carmel dropped a 65-44 game to Lawrence North Tuesday at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 25-6 lead after one quarter, then went up 41-19 at halftime. Mackenzie Woods scored nine points to lead the Greyhounds, with Mallory Bourquein pulling five rebounds. Hannah Lach had five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Carmel is 0-7 and plays Thursday at West Lafayette.
