William Howard Smith, 54, Elwood, Ind., passed away on November 4, 2022, at Ascension St . Vincent Mercy Hospital at Elwood.
He was born January 16, 1968, in Noblesville to Robert and Linda (Watters) Dunn. He attended Noblesville Schools and graduated with the Class of 1986 at Noblesville High School. He then completed four years of additional schooling at Anderson Trade School where he earned the title of Licensed Industrial Pipe Fitter.
William then put his schooling to work. He first worked at Firestone Rubber Company in Noblesville and later worked at Ford Motor Company in Connersville, Ind., where he kept the machines running for the manufacturing of auto parts for cars. He took care and pride in his work and therefore enjoyed working.
In his younger age, he attended the Green Valley Christian Church in Noblesville. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and looked forward to their get-togethers.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Dell Smith of Elwood; a son, William O’Neal Smith of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a daughter, Tia Nichole Varela of Indianapolis; sister, Melissa Page of Indianapolis; plus three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert O’Neal Smith; and a son, Nicholas Smith.
