Kids-only Sprouts Cooking School expands to Zionsville

Sprouts Cooking School is set to open its second location in Zionsville this weekend as it holds single-session kids cooking classes, family cooking classes and birthday parties.

The 1,265 square-foot space is located at 11145 N. Michigan Road between the Pure Barre studio and Athletico Physical Therapy.

Sprouts is Indiana’s only dedicated kids cooking school and originally launched seven years ago in owner Stephanie Drewry’s home. After the growth in its first two years, Drewry opened the flagship Carmel storefront location in 2017.

“We are thrilled to welcome families to Sprouts Cooking School on Michigan Road,” Drewry said. “We kick off our opening week with some of our most popular themed classes like a Family Basket Challenge inspired by Food Network TV’s hit show Chopped, and seasonal favorites like Trick or Treat where young chefs can trick friends and family with imposter baked goods.”

Since its opening, Sprouts Cooking School has served more than 15,000 Hoosier children as it hosts single session cooking classes, special family fun cooking classes, an exclusive MemberChef® program, seasonal cooking camps and cooking-themed birthday parties for children ages 3 through 13.

The new space design mimics the established Carmel location and features kid-sized kitchens and island stations with ovens and stovetops where the students learn and work together.

“The Sprouts team is excited that our opening weekend is finally here and to be able to offer children a fun and hands-on experience that builds foundational culinary skills and a lifelong love of cooking,” Drewry said.

The Zionsville location will host an official ribbon cutting in November and is now booking cooking classes and birthday parties through the end of the year at sproutscookingschool.com.
