The Indiana Department of Transportation will perform maintenance work from 6 p.m. on Monday, July 18 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19 for patching and strip paving the right lane on Interstate 65 southbound between mile markers 19.7 and 18.4.
Due to the proximity of the I-465 interchange, I-65 southbound will be closed at I-865. The 71st Street to I-65 southbound and West 56th Street to I-465 southbound entrance ramps will be closed to ensure the safety of workers. I-65 northbound lanes will remain open.
The official detour follows I-65 to I-865 east to I-465 south and back to I-65.
Motorists should slow down, watch for stopped traffic and drive distraction-free through all work zones. All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
