Jon Dee Rayle, 64, Noblesville, passed away on June 21, 2022, at Seton Hospital In Indianapolis.
He was born on June 21, 1958, in Noblesville to Jonathan and Gladys (Keith) Rayle. He grew up in the Cicero area and often helped his father at Rayle’s Service Station that was a landmark in the town. He attended Hamilton Heights Schools and graduated with the Class of 1977. He was on the football team until knee problems prevented him from playing, but continued in his favorite sport, baseball. He furthered his education at the Christian Life College of Theology.
Jon honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., Fort Hood, Texas, and Garlstedt, Germany, 2nd Armor Division Hell on Wheels, Tank Commander. Returning to the States, he worked at Rayle’s Union 76 Service Station, Osram Sylvania, and lastly at Charles Schwab.
He loved music and was a member of the Gospel Servants, a gospel quartet that sang for various churches. He also wrote music and sang as a soloist.
Jon dearly loved his family, loved spending time with them and was looking forward to watching his grandchildren playing sports.
He is survived by his sons, Harrison L. (Cayla) Rayle and Seth D (Ashley) Rayle; grandchildren, Jackson Folkner, Lincoln Rayle, Gracen Rayle, Frank Rayle, and Levi Rayle; siblings, Vicki (Paul) Achenbach, Lila Rayle, and Keith D Rayle; nieces, Kimberly Stackhouse and Melissa Pfaff; nephews, Todd Rayle, Jacen Rayle, and Hunter Rayle; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services and visitation were held at noon on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with burial following at the Cicero Cemetery.
