Sheridan dropped a semi-final game at Class 1A Sectional 54 at Tri-County on Monday.
The Blackhawks lost to Rossville 7-3. The Hornets got on top right away, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Sheridan got its first run in the second inning when Ty Macy scored on a passed ball.
In the fourth inning, Silas DeVaney got home when Macy reached on error, and the ‘Hawks were within 3-2. But Rossville pulled away in the fifth inning by putting up four runs, including three straight RBI singles.
Camden Spencer hit an RBI single in the sixth inning to score Caleb Alexander and get Sheridan’s third run.
Cole Macintosh had two hits. Sebastian Salazar pitched a complete game, tossing 10 strikeouts.
The Blackhawks finished their season 10-14.
