Melissa Ann Wafford, 64, Avon, passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on January 18, 1958, to Jay and Edith (Sharp) Lewis in Logansport, Ind.
Melissa worked in sales and marketing at the Hoosier Lottery for several years then worked for the government in the workforce development department before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and watching old scary movies. Most of all, Melissa loved spending time with her family and her dogs, Bo, Josie, Gracie, and Bandit.
She is survived by her son, William Wafford; and her siblings, William (Sue) Lewis, Robert (Holly) Lewis, Dickie (Mary Beth) Lewis, and Anita (Kenny) Killian.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents.
