The University track and field teams participated in the Pioneer Athletic Academic Conference meet Saturday at Ball State University.
The Trailblazers girls had an outstanding meet, finishing a close second to Muncie Burris. The Owls scored 124 points, with University right behind at 122.
The ‘Blazers won five events. Abby Hannon swept the discus and the shot put. Patty Chikamba was first in the long jump, and teamed with Lily Hovda, Taylor Seay and Lauren Porter to win the 4×100 relay. Kelly Trowbridge won the 3200 run.
University’s boys team placed seventh with 42 points. Steven Scott won the long jump.
