Westfield is currently 2-0 for the week, with wins on Monday and Wednesday.
First, the Shamrocks took a high-scoring game, 14-11, at Lawrence North. Westfield grabbed the lead by scoring eight runs in the fourth inning, including two-run singles from Maggie Roh and Avery Banas. Earlier in the inning, Banas had another RBI hit, as did Samantha Breaux. Roh connected on another two-run single in the sixth inning, and Breaux led off the seventh inning with a home run.
Roh had three hits and three RBIs, with Banas also driving in three runs. Allie Dolenc was 3-for-4 and scored two runs. Morgan Squires got the pitching win.
The Shamrocks followed that up with a nine-inning Hoosier Crossroads Conference win at Zionsville, 6-4. Westfield got on the board in the fourth inning; Avery Parker led off with a home run, then Dolenc scored on Natalie Deck’s RBI groundout.
The Eagles hit a grand slam in the fifth inning, putting the ‘Rocks behind 4-2. Westfield tied the game in the seventh when Breaux hit a two-run double, scoring Roh and Parker. The game stayed at 4-4 until the ninth inning, when Dolenc hit an RBI bunt. Parker scored on an error, then Snedeker got home on Dolenc’s bunt.
Dolenc finished the game with three hits, including a double. Chloe Tanner pitched all nine innings, striking out six.
The Shamrocks are 13-4 and play tonight at Center Grove.

Sheridan went 1-2 in games early this week.
On Monday, the Blackhawks beat Guerin Catholic 14-9 at their home field of Biddle Park. Sheridan took control of the game in the second inning by scoring seven runs, including a grand slam by Taylor Bates. She would finish the game with five RBIs on 3-for-4 hitting. Nova Cross scored three runs, while Chaney Smith had two hits and two RBIs. Maelei Casler threw a complete game for the win.
Izzy Kemp hit a triple for the Golden Eagles, and Madi Cain and Anna Mauch each had two hits; one of Mauch’s hits was a double. Guerin Catholic is 5-6 and hosts Fishers this afternoon.
On Tuesday, Sheridan fell to Eastern on the road 10-0 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game. Comets pitcher Macy Coan threw a perfect game against the Blackhawks. Kendra Blankenship had seven strikeouts for Sheridan.
The Blackhawks hosted Herron Wednesday, falling 8-4. Emma Settles and Taylor Bates both hit a double for Sheridan, with Smith driving in two runs. Casler pitched five strikeouts in five innings.
The ‘Hawks are 3-9 and host Alexandria on Friday.

Noblesville dropped a Monday game to Mount Vernon, 6-5 in nine innings.
The Millers scored three runs in the third inning. Lauren DeRolf doubled in Carly Motz and Aidan Gates, then Bella Schatko hit a sacrifice fly to score DeRolf.
The Marauders led 5-3 midway through the fifth. Noblesville got a run back in the bottom of the fifth after Gabby Fowler hit a sacrifice fly to send in Reis Sjoholm. Sjoholm tied the game on another sacrifice fly in the seventh, this one hit by Schatko. But Mount Vernon scored a run in the top of the ninth for the win.
Fowler and Erin Clark both hit doubles.
Noblesville is 9-8 and hosts Kokomo this afternoon.

The Orioles scored a run in the second inning. The Tigers tied the game in the seventh inning when Tori Abel scored their run. Avon got the winning run in the ninth inning.
