Dining With Denise

This was the most pleasant evening ever!

When we first arrived at DeLullo’s Trattoria, 230 W. Jackson St., Cicero, it was full of happy patrons and families, but after 8 p.m., the families cleared out and it was the perfect spot to quietly converse and have a bottle of wine and great meal.

The hostess was so nice and friendly and had a warm smile for us as she seated us right away with zero wait time. (We did have a reservation that we made on Open Table.)

DeLullo’s Trattoria is an Italian style restaurant located just blocks from Morse Reservoir. Delullo’s Italian Bistro specializes in hearty Italian specialties, pizzas, hoagies, and salads. They are a LOCAL, family-owned and operated, and they pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients.

Our appetizers included the caprese flatbread with feta, scallions, fresh tomatoes, basil and flavored oil. For main courses, we had the seafood ravioli, which is shrimp, scallops, and North Atlantic lobster, blended with a mirepoix, fresh garlic, and spicy cream, as well as the blackened pan-seared salmon with scallion rice, julienned vegetables and a tangy and spicy Thai chili sauce. DeLullo’s has specials most Friday and Saturday nights of fresh seafood and an additional protein. We had tiramisu for dessert, and it was truly glorious! The perfect ending to the best night!
