“We really challenged the guys in the scrimmage,” said Westfield coach Ryan Bunnell, who was speaking about the Shamrocks’ scrimmage last week. “We felt like we had weather conditions, some other things that kind of affected us and we’ve really been challenging them. We’ve got to get a little tougher and grow in that category. My hat’s off to them. They’ve done a nice job in some pretty tough conditions and seen some good arms this week, too.”
Westfield is 4-0 and has an early 2-0 lead in the conference. The Shamrocks are off until Friday, April 8 when they play the Kokomo Invitational.
