GOP offering training for precinct committeemen

The Hamilton County Republican Party is looking for interested people to serve as precinct committeemen.

Precinct committeemen and vice precinct committeemen have an important role to play in the party from helping to ensure fair elections to helping Republican candidates get elected.

If you are already a precinct or vice precinct committeeman or are interested in becoming one, party officials have scheduled training sessions for you to learn about what the role entails. This training will cover topics such as precinct committeeman election and appointing vice precinct committeemen, turning out the Republican vote on Election Day, recruiting workers and filling polling site boards, being part of Republican functions, and participating in caucuses and electing the Hamilton County Republican Party Chair.

There are three training sessions scheduled – two in-person and one virtual training:

  1. Monday, March 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County GOP Office, 209 E. 175th, Westfield
  2. Wednesday, March 23 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Hamilton County Government Center, 1 N. 8th, Noblesville
