Jennifer Dawn Nicholson (Rogers)

September 18, 1958 – February 19, 2022

No doubt she was singing as she became present with Jesus on Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was an amazing Christ follower, wife, mom, grandma, friend, teacher, singer, performer… She truly lived life to the full in all areas.

She ministered faithfully side by side with her husband, Dave. Jen was a gifted worship leader, doing so in every church they served. Jen was also an amazing teacher. Whether leading as the Choral Director at Noblesville High School, teaching younger children at Noble Crossing Elementary, Directing Chapel at Noblesville First UMC Preschool, or teaching private lessons (piano, voice, ukulele, etc.); she gave her all to her students.

Jen led women’s Bible study groups, spoke and sang at conferences, and felt honored to sing the national anthem at Market Square Arena/Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Victory Field, multiple banquets and at many other venues.

She loved God with her whole being and was able to love whomever she met with His grace and kindness. She was passionate in her walk with Jesus and in her music. She wrote songs as well as performed (The Belfry, Epilogue Theater, Westfield Players, and others).

There is no way to give even a glimpse of her love, passion and commitment in this space. You can enjoy her songs and antics on YouTube. Two of her favorite life guiding phrases are: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4. “Music moves the soul like nothing else can.” Jennifer Nicholson.

Her dad, M. Neil Rogers, and mom, Dottie (Skaggs) Rogers, arrived in heaven ahead of her, as well as three undelivered children. She will some day meet again with her loving husband, David “Dave” Nicholson; son, Josh (Hollie) Nicholson; daughter, Hannah Huntington; and her favorites, the grandchildren: Claire, Landen, Max and Sam; as well as sisters, Stephanie (Don) Fantuzzo and Allison (Mark) Gallo; brother, Mark (Bridget) Rogers; best friend, Beth Winchell; and 16 nieces and nephews. Although we all first look forward to seeing Jesus, it will be a great reunion with Jen in heaven.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, with a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville.
