‘Rocks sail past Franklin Central

Westfield won its Hoosier Crossroads Conference finale on Friday, sailing past Franklin Central 77-56 at CSI Gymnasium.
The Shamrocks outscored the Flashes in each of the four quarters, leading 15-13 after the first period and 37-27 at halftime. Eight different players scored for Westfield during the first half. The ‘Rocks then poured in 20 points in both the third and fourth quarters. Alex Romack scored 11 points in the second half while Cam Haffner scored 10 second-half points, including two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Haffner and Romack both scored 16 points. Braden Smith, returning from an injury, added 13 points. Trey Buchanan scored 10 points.
Westfield finished conference play 2-5 and is 16-6 overall. The Shamrocks play at Decatur Central tonight.
