Tigers complete perfect conference season

Fishers completed an unbeaten season in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference on Friday, winning an away game at Zionsville 53-39.
The Class 4A No. 3 Tigers led 12-7 after the first quarter, with Jeffrey Simmons scoring seven of Fishers’ points. The Tigers extended their lead to 28-19 by halftime; Simmons added another five points. The Eagles made a comeback in the third period, but Fishers was able to hold on to a 32-30 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Tigers then ran away with the fourth, outscoring Zionsville 21-9. Simmons scored eight points and Jalen Haralson, making his return from an injury, contributed six points.
Simmons finished the game with 22 points, while Haralson added 11 points.
Fishers completed a 7-0 season in the HCC and improved to 20-2 overall, the first time the Tigers have reached the 20-win mark since the school reopened in 2006. Fishers plays its regular-season finale on Tuesday, hosting North Central at the Tiger Den.
