Noblesville rebounded after a tough Friday loss in a big way Tuesday, as the Millers blasted Harrison 69-26 in their final home game of the season at The Mill.
Noblesville, ranked No. 6 in Class 4A and No. 7 in the IBCA one-class poll, took care of this contest early. The Millers led 20-8 after one quarter and 41-14 at halftime, then cruised ahead 53-20 after three periods. Noblesville didn’t allow the Raiders more than eight points in a quarter.
Millers coach Donna Buckley said her team played “much better” than it did last week, especially in a Friday defeat to Zionsville.
“I thought our kids really came out and understood what we need to do to be successful, said Buckley, who also said that her team is “trying to do the right things on both ends of the floor.”
Ashlynn Shade led Noblesville with 21 points, and also had eight rebounds and six steals. Kaitlyn Shoemaker drained three 3-pointers on her way to 14 points. Reagan Wilson had 10 points, six assists and five steals.
Ava Shoemaker collected nine rebounds, while Meredith Tippner pulled six and Dani Mendez five. Tippner also dished out four assists and Brooklyn Smitherman had two blocked shots.
“We challenged them the last two days, so they definitely responded to the challenge that we gave them,” said Buckley.
Noblesville is 16-4 and plays its final Hoosier Crossroads Conference game of the season Saturday at Franklin Central.
