The Noblesville volleyball team split its opening matches this week.
The Millers traveled to Yorktown on Monday and fell in four sets, 25-16, 25-14, 20-25, 25-20. Lexie Almodovar hit 15 kills, with Emily Kiser putting down eight kills. Brenna Everingham coollected 17 digs, Stephanie Meysembourg had 15 and Maddie Hine dished out 38 assists to go along with her 14 digs.
On Tuesday, Noblesville swept Hamilton Heights 25-23, 25-16, 25-17 at the Husky Dome. Rose Crist hit seven kills.

Westfield scored a sweep of
in a Monday all-county match. The score was 25-15, 25-16, 26-24.
Grace Weber hit nine kills for the Shamrocks, with Claire Hindman making 19 digs and serving two aces. Anna Johnsey had one solo block and three block assists. Sarah Weglarz handed out 19 assists.
Kailey Akins hit 11 kills for the Greyhounds, with Lauren Van Remortel serving two aces.
On Tuesday, Carmel beat Lawrence North in four sets, 16-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-19 in a Metropolitan Conference match.
Emma Harmon put down 13 kills for the ‘Hounds, with Akins hitting 12 and Mo Armstrong spiking 10. Kelise Twyner served five aces, and also made two blocks. Van Remortel had two blocks as well. Sophie Oliphant had 12 digs.
Hamilton Southeastern traveled to Pendleton Heights on Monday and scored a hard-fought sweep of the Arabians, 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.
Meredith Phillips hit 12 kills to lead the Royals. Lark Jones put down 11 kills with a strong performance in the middle of the court, and Bria King hit seven kills.
“Kat Wagner and Carly Mills served the Royals out of trouble in the first two sets to help seal the win,” said HSE coach Jason Young.
Sarah Chastain made nine digs.
In weekend matches, Southeastern beat North Central 25-17, 25-14, 25-23 and Mount Vernon 25-19, 25-19, 25-23. The Royals are now 10-6 for the season.
University sailed past Indianapolis Northwest 25-15, 25-11, 25-2 on Tuesday.
Elise Nachils served 12 aces for the Trailblazers.
