Carmel City Council President Laura Campbell on Sept. 4 conducted the swearing in for Carmel Fire Department Recruit Classes 24 and 25 at the Carmel Fire Department Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony was also streamed live on Facebook. According to CFD, COVID-19 created a challenge for these classes and the department’s training staff. The new recruits reported to their first shifts starting Saturday, Sept. 5.
