Paul Roman, 89, formerly of LaPorte, Ind., passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville.
Paul was born to Albert Herman and Maria (Broshat) Romanowsky on October 10, 1929 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Paul immigrated to Chicago, Ill., after World War II and was a self-employed business owner. He married Elisabeth Gertrud Klunker on June 30, 1956. They moved their family to LaPorte in the mid-1960s. He owned and operated an egg business, the Paul Roman Egg Farm. He enjoyed woodworking, photography and gardening. He was deeply committed to his family and his pets.
He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth; daughters, Christina Roman Sorensen (husband, Kurt), Noblesville, and Dorothy Roman Mathiesen (husband, Tom), Parker, Colo.; son, Harold Roman, Acton, Mass.; and five grandsons, Scott and Trevor Sorensen, Crested Butte, Colo.; Kris Roman, Acton, Mass., and Ryan and Kyle Mathiesen, Parker, Colo. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Irene Boettcher, Addison, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Romanowsky and Herbert Roman; mother, Maria (Broschat) Romanowsky; and father, Albert Herbert Romanowsky.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 11 a.m. to the time of service. Friends are invited to join the family for refreshments at the church following the service.

Sorry for your loss. He lived a full life doing what he loved and most of all loving his family and sharing a positive spiritual life.
What a Great man he was. We will miss him Dearly. So Thankful we where able to see him this summer.
