SERVE Village, the Hamilton County neighbors-helping-neighbors group, is holding SERVE Veterans Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.
Volunteers will fan out across Hamilton County to help veterans with simple cleanup projects at their homes: raking leaves, picking up sticks, tidying garden beds, porch clean-up, light cleaning, and decluttering. It’s simple work that says a big thank you.
Here are two ways to be part of it:
- Nominate a veteran – a family member, a friend, a neighbor down the street, or yourself – who could use a helping hand. Share what they’d like done and a little of their story. Nominations close Friday, Nov. 6, so the team has time to plan each project.
- Sign up to serve – grab your rake and bring your crew. Wear layers and closed-toe shoes, dressed for yard work and November weather; the meeting location is provided when you register.
More details and signup information can be found at servevillage.org, or contact the SERVE Village team at info@servevillage.org.
