The Advancing Westfield Foundation (AWF) has awarded $499,000 in grant funding to 22 organizations serving the Westfield community.
AWF supports nonprofit partnerships that provide vital services for youth, adults, seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities and families throughout the community. Funding is made possible through net proceeds from the Mayor’s Grand Gala and supports organizations working in areas such as health and wellness, food insecurity, youth development, senior support, mental health, and disability services.
“These grants represent the heart of what the Advancing Westfield Foundation was created to do: support the organizations that are meeting real needs in our community,” Mayor Scott Willis said. “From youth development and mental health to food insecurity and senior support, these organizations are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Westfield residents. We are grateful for their work and proud to invest in their continued impact.”
The AWF board includes community members representing various corporate, nonprofit, and community partners. Board members are Eric Douthit, Kristy Murphy, Allison Van Natta, Danyele Easterhaus, Pete Emigh, Mike Rudolph, and Mitch Frazier.
