Carmel will hold its Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 6 this year.
The ceremony honors the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This year’s theme, “Honoring Our Heroes: America 250,” pays special tribute to the founding of the United States and the generations of veterans who have protected our nation.
The public is invited to join city officials, veterans’ groups, and community members for this meaningful event, set for noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at The Tarkington Theater.
As part of the annual tradition, the ceremony will also recognize the winners of the city-wide Veterans Day poster and essay contest held among Carmel elementary school students. Winning posters will be displayed and the student essay winners will read their entries aloud.
All veterans, military families and members of the public are encouraged to attend.
