On Wednesday, Oct. 21, Sheridan Community Schools (SCS) hosted and welcomed an engaged audience for the State of the Schools Address. Attendees asked very thoughtful questions as they learned more about the progress, priorities, and plans for the school’s future.

Mundy
Throughout the address, Superintendent Dr. Dave Mundy highlighted district successes in academics, arts, and athletics. The audience also heard about enrollment growth, potential new neighborhoods, and the progress of the strategic plan. This includes facility enhancements that promote student accomplishments and prepare for future growth.
Another key topic that was discussed was financial planning. Conversations were held revolving around district reductions, impact of Senate Bill 1, property tax reform, and the current referendum. Mundy and the rest of the administration shared short- and long-term goals as Sheridan continues to create more opportunities.
Throughout the entire presentation, appreciation was expressed for the community’s continued involvement, support, and collaboration. The Town of Sheridan, local leadership, and Sheridan Community Schools continue to have a positive and collaborative relationship.
If you were unable to attend, the presentation is available at scs.k12.in.us. SCS continues to welcome any questions and encourages the community to reach out. The conversations and discussions are valued as everyone looks toward a successful future together.
