A growing partnership between Legacy Christian School and Bethel Lutheran Church is once again bringing families together for an afternoon of fall festivities and community connection.
The two organizations will hold their third annual Family Fall Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville. Geared for kids in preschool through fifth grade, this free event has fun in store for the whole family.
The festival will feature a huge corn pit, pumpkin station, face painting, hayrides, game alley, pedal cars, basketball, frisbee golf, line dancing, campfire foods, fall treats, touch a fire truck, police car and tractor and many other family-friendly activities.
While the festival is a relatively new tradition, the relationship between Legacy Christian School and Bethel Lutheran Church began several years ago.
Legacy Christian School, a PreK-12 Christian school located on Lakeview Drive in Noblesville, was looking for additional space as the school expanded to include its state-accredited high school. That need led to a partnership with Bethel Lutheran Church, which opened the doors of its educational wing to Legacy’s preschool program.
The preschool is now in its fourth year at Bethel, bringing young children and their families to the church campus throughout the school week.
For Bethel, the partnership has provided an opportunity to use its existing facilities to support a growing ministry in the community. For Legacy, it has provided a home for its preschool program while creating new relationships between the school, church, and families.
The partnership also reflects a shared emphasis on serving others.
Bethel Lutheran Church supports a variety of community and outreach ministries, including a bi-weekly food pantry, Scouting America troops, Classical Conversations and Bible Study Fellowship, among others. The church’s outreach is centered on using its resources to serve and bless others in the community.
Legacy Christian School similarly emphasizes service and leadership alongside academics rooted in a biblical worldview. Students are encouraged to look beyond themselves and find ways to serve others throughout their school experience.
The Family Fall Festival grew from those shared values, providing an opportunity for the church and school to welcome the broader community onto the Bethel campus.
Now in its third year, organizers say the event is becoming an annual tradition for local families. In addition to providing an afternoon of free activities, the festival offers an opportunity for families to meet their neighbors, build relationships and enjoy the fall season together.
The event is free and open to the public, and families from Noblesville and surrounding communities are invited to attend.
The Family Fall Festival is made possible in part through the support of local businesses and community sponsors, including Russell Farms Pumpkin Patch, Blake’s Cottage Bakes, Well’s Amish Furniture, Without Borders, The Collective on the Square, Brammer Financial, Harbour Town Martial Arts, 10th Street Photography, ADS Cabinets, and Carter’s Play Place.
Organizers invite families to join Legacy Christian School and Bethel Lutheran Church on Oct. 17 for an afternoon of fall fun, fellowship, and community.
