Last week, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced a record level of grants to organizations that help veterans who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
The Grant Per Diem program and Supportive Services for Veteran Families program grants begin Oct. 1, and will fund transitional housing, supportive services, eviction prevention, rehousing, and other services to house veterans. Thirteen Indiana-based organizations received grants.
