Cyntheanne Christian Church will play host to the 17th annual Veterans and Athletes United (VAU) Auction at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, a free, family-friendly event raising funds and awareness for veterans with disabilities.
There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be available.
Every dollar raised at the auction – 100 percent of proceeds – goes directly to VAU, an organization dedicated to supporting those who have served.
The day’s centerpiece is the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall, on public display in the church parking lot and bearing the names of service members who gave their lives in defense of the country. Visitors are invited to view the wall and read the names before or after the auction – a striking, visual moment of remembrance that photographs and films well for media coverage.
“This auction is one way we can help these heroes regain some aspect of their normal lives,” Senior Minister Larry Renihan said.
Cyntheanne Christian Church is located at 13151 Cyntheanne Road, Fishers.
