Indiana Senate candidate John Ruckelshaus has announced an endorsement from the Indiana Professional Fire Fighters’ Political Action Committee.

Ruckelshaus, a former State Senator, will be on the ballot for the General Election on Nov. 3.

“This endorsement reflects our confidence in your commitment to the issues that matter most to Indiana’s professional fire fighters, paramedics, EMTs and the communities that we serve,” said the official letter of endorsement signed by Anthony L. Murray, President; Hank Harris, Vice President; and Cody Leever, Political Director for the organization.

Ruckelshaus humbly accepted the endorsement.

“Fire fighters, paramedics, and EMTs are quite literally the lifeblood of every community, no matter how big or small,” Ruckelshaus said. “We all need them, especially on what is typically one of our worst days while faced with an emergency. Our emergency personnel truly unite all of us and I am humbled by their support and vow to all I can at the Statehouse to ensure their commitment to safety is supported by our government.”

The letter of support added: “Through our discussions with you, we know that you are willing to listen thoughtfully and carefully consider issues that impact the delivery of Fire and Emergency Medical Services and the well-being of our members. We know that you endeavor to represent your constituents in the same manner.”
