Westfield has earned three 2026 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards, receiving recognition for Professional Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Purpose & Values.
The Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards recognize organizations that prioritize people-first workplace cultures and create environments where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute. The awards are based on employee feedback collected through the research-backed Energage Workplace Survey.
The city was recognized in the following categories:
- Professional Development – honors organizations that place a special focus on developing employees’ careers and enabling their people to grow professionally.
- Compensation & Benefits – recognizes organizations that provide employees with compensation and benefits that meet their needs and contribute to a positive workplace experience.
- Purpose & Values – recognizes organizations that successfully communicate their mission and integrate those aspirations into the workplace culture.

Willis
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it is based on feedback from the people who serve our community every day,” Mayor Scott Willis said. “Our employees are at the heart of everything we accomplish as a city, and we want Westfield to be a place where talented people can grow professionally, feel valued for their contributions and know that their work has a direct impact on the community we serve.”
The city employs approximately 360 full-time employees across departments responsible for public safety, infrastructure, parks and recreation, economic development, planning, administration, and other essential city services.
The Top Workplaces program is administered by Energage, an organization specializing in workplace culture research. Recognition is based solely on employee feedback gathered through its confidential workplace survey.
