Tipton County Public Library celebrates Library Card Sign-up Month
This September, Tipton County Public Library (TCPL) invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month and discover how a library card can hit all the right notes, no matter what your tastes are.
An initiative of the American Library Association, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September for almost 40 years to mark the beginning of the school year, combat illiteracy, and encourage communities everywhere to explore the offerings that come with a library card. Today, thousands of public libraries and schools nationwide participate in the month-long celebration each fall.
At TCPL, you’ll find:
- Free digital resources, public computers, and mobile hotspots
- The Creation Station, a place to get started on a variety of creative projects using the library’s equipment
- A library of things to check out like a sleep sound machine, Blu-ray player, or even a hammock
- STEAM learning opportunities, genealogy and local history research help, and small business resources
- TCPL-AT-YOUR-DOOR, the home delivery service that brings library materials right to you
- Free programs and events for all ages, from storytimes and book clubs to crafts and writing (Visit org for complete details.)
Join the celebration this September
- TCPL Song Book: Share Your Story Wall: Share your answer to “My library is my favorite place because…” and add your experience to the wall.
- Mixtape Bookmarks: Stop by and create your own mixtape-inspired bookmark to take home.
