The Rewind Book Fair will have you feeling nostalgic as it brings back the magic of childhood book fairs of the past. The event will take place Sept. 26 and 27 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Ag/Hort Building. Created with the goal to connect book lovers in a fun, welcoming space, there’s no permission slip required.
What started as a local event in Minneapolis, Minn., has grown into a multi-city celebration of books, creativity, and community. The Rewind Book Fair will bring together readers, writers, and makers for a nostalgic yet fresh take on the classic book fair experience. The event will feature close to 100 exhibitors, including independent booksellers, literary-inspired creators, and engaging experiences.
Legendary featured authors and illustrators appearing throughout the weekend include Ellen Hopkins (Crank), Maurice Broaddus (Abigail’s Gethesame), Z Brewer (The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod), Larissa Lone (Pleasure Unbound), and more.
“Remember the thrill of flipping through a Scholastic catalog, circling your dream book haul, and getting way too excited about the latest Goosebumps?” asks Rachel Silberman, event co-owner. “We’re bringing that magic back with a nostalgic, grown-up twist.”
