The Westfield Library Foundation (WLF), in partnership with the Westfield Washington Public Library, is now accepting submissions for the 2027 Mike & Karen Heaton Art Wall. The gallery wall showcases rotating artwork throughout the library, providing local artists with the opportunity to display their work while enhancing the experience of library visitors.
“The Art Wall is a meaningful way to showcase the creativity of local artists while enriching the library experience for our patrons,” WLF Executive Director Erin Downey said. “We’re excited to welcome a new group of artists in 2027 and continue celebrating the talent that makes our community so unique.”
Artists must be at least 18 years old to apply and must submit a completed application and portfolio by Oct. 1, 2026, for consideration in the 2027 exhibit rotation. Artwork must be display-ready, framed, matted, or otherwise equipped to hang using the library’s hanging system. Artists are also responsible for the installation and removal of their work during their assigned exhibit month. AI-created or AI-enhanced artwork will not be considered.
The Art Gallery Committee will review all submissions and select artists based on quality, originality, and appropriateness for the venue. The committee aims to showcase a variety of media throughout the year, including photography, painting, and mixed media.

Completed applications and portfolios should be emailed to edowney@wwpl.lib.in.us. Artists will be notified of the committee’s decision shortly after Nov. 1, 2026.
