BGCN invites community to two signature summer fundraising events

The Tom & Soni Sheehan Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville (BGCN) invites the community to celebrate, compete, and give back through two exciting fundraising events this August: the 11th annual BGCN Cornhole Tournament on Friday, Aug. 7, and the inaugural Adult Recess on Saturday, Aug. 15.

As BGCN celebrates its 75th anniversary throughout 2026, both events offer unique opportunities for Club alumni, community members, businesses, and supporters to come together in support of programs that provide thousands of local youth with safe, affordable after-school and summer experiences.

The 11th annual BGCN Cornhole Tournament returns to Forest Park in Noblesville, where teams of all skill levels will enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition, food, beverages, prizes, raffles, and camaraderie. Registration begins at noon on Aug. 7, with tournament play to follow. Proceeds will directly support BGCN programs that empower young people to reach their full potential.

Just one week later, the Club will debut Adult Recess, a brand-new adults only fundraising event designed to let adults relive the best parts of childhood while supporting today’s generation of Club Kids. Taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, Adult Recess will feature BGCN staples throughout the entire facility, friendly competitions, interactive activities, complimentary food and drinks, a live DJ, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with friends while giving back to the community.

“These events are all about bringing people together,” BGCN Director of Development Nathan Helm said. “Whether you’re tossing cornhole bags with friends and co-workers or reliving childhood favorites Adult Recess, every dollar raised helps ensure local kids have access to life-changing opportunities at the Club. We hope the community joins us for one – or even both – of these great events.”

Funds raised from both events will support the BGCN’s mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Each year, the Club serves more than 2,200 youth through after-school and out-of-school programs, academic support, transportation services, youth sports, character development, and more.

Businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate through sponsorships, team registrations, and event attendance.
