Hamilton County Tourism declares 2026 “Year to Be Here”

Hamilton County Tourism, Inc. (HCT) has officially unveiled its 2026 campaign tagline: “The Year to Be Here.”

The tagline is a declaration and invitation to visitors supported by a lineup of attraction openings, national sporting events and world-class entertainment that positions Hamilton County, Indiana, as a must-visit destination.

The announcement arrives on the heels of a strong start to the year for tourism. Hamilton County hotel demand climbed during the first quarter, reflecting sustained traveler demand and setting a confident tone for the year ahead.

The spirit of growth and development is already on full display this year as Conner Prairie’s Museum Experience Center opened in April with widespread praise. The state-of-the-art, $44 million addition to the Smithsonian-affiliated living history museum reimagines how visitors engage with history and place.

Westfield Collective also had its grand opening in April, featuring six new restaurant concepts, two full-service bars and 10 beach volleyball courts, powered by Westfield based iBeach.

This June, SKYLAKE Adventures will begin welcoming guests to its lake and water adventure area, which is the debut experience of the outdoor adventure park located in Sheridan. When fully realized, SKYLAKE will feature a lake, aerial adventure course, tubing hill and indoor spaces.

The summer and fall will also bring a remarkable concentration of national and international sporting attention to the county. The NFL FLAG Championships, LIV Golf and the World Fitness Project are all set to take place in Westfield. In November, Fishers Event Center will host the inaugural Big Ten Conference Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

Other notable events this summer include America250 celebrations across the county and a star-studded lineup of national touring acts at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, which will feature a newly renovated pavilion for concertgoers.

“From major events to new attractions, 2026 is the year it all comes together in Hamilton County,” HCT President and CEO Karen Radcliff said. “When we say it’s ‘The Year to Be Here,’ we mean it. Whether you’re a sports fan, a music lover or a family looking for adventure, Hamilton County has some extraordinary new experiences planned for you.”
