Carmel’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony will bring the community together to remember those who paid the ultimate price in service to our country.
This free event starts at 9 a.m. Friday, May 22 at the Carmel Clay Veterans Memorial Plaza across from Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.
Mayor Sue Finkam and City officials will be joined by the following guests:

- Carmel Fire Department Honor Guard Pipe and Drum Band
- Dave Choutka, Chaplain, Carmel Fire Department
- Leticia Poblano-Clark, U.S. Air Force Veteran
- Keynote speaker retired Brigadier General J. Stewart Goodwin, U.S. Air Force
- Tony Green, Carmel City Councilor, retired Colonel, U.S. Air Force
- Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10003
- Christopher Watson, U.S. Army Veteran
The city’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony is a special event to honor the brave military personnel who have served and to show our gratitude for the sacrifices they have made.
All attendees are invited to Carmel VFW Post #10003, 12863 Old Meridian St., immediately following the ceremony for food, music, and fellowship. Meals for Veterans are complimentary.
