Carmel Health & Living to showcase expanded in-house dialysis center

Carmel Health & Living, a CarDon & Associates senior community, will hold a public open house to showcase the expansion of its in-house dialysis center from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 21.

The open house will give guests an opportunity to tour the expanded dialysis center, meet staff members and learn more about the on-site dialysis services available to residents.

Located at 118 Medical Drive in Carmel, the expansion includes the addition of seven new private dialysis suites, increasing the community’s in-house hemodialysis capacity from 22 to 29 residents. The project also includes an additional spa-style shower room and expanded staffing support to meet the needs of residents.

Carmel Health & Living partners with DaVita to provide on-site dialysis services for both short-term rehab and long-term care residents, allowing residents to receive treatment without the added stress and inconvenience of traveling to an outside dialysis center.

By offering dialysis services within the community just down the hall from their private rehabilitation room, residents benefit from more convenient access to treatment and coordinated care between Carmel Health & Living staff, nephrologists, and the on-site DaVita care team.
