On Monday, May 11, Sheridan Community Schools (SCS) honored Sarina Marquis at the monthly board meeting. She works as the data manager for the school system. She helps run Canvas, PowerSchool, and all the other technological systems for the school.
Marquis is much-deserving of this year’s Support Staff of the Year Award.
“Sarina’s impact extends far beyond her job description,” SCS Curriculum Director Valerie Love said.
Through her dedication, kindness, and unwavering support for students, staff, and families, she helps make SCS stronger every day. Over the past decade, Marquis has faithfully served the Sheridan community, becoming not only a valued teammate but also someone others consistently turn to for guidance and support. She never backs away from a challenge and is always willing to seek out answers when she does not already have them. Her work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail make her truly invaluable to the district. Oftentimes, additional responsibilities are placed in her hands because everyone knows she will complete the task accurately and efficiently.
Marquis’s commitment and service are a true reflection of what it means to support a school community, making her more than deserving of being named the 2026 Support Staff Member of the Year.
