The Hamilton Heights softball team played their third game in as many nights on Wednesday.
A road trip to Logansport wouldn’t be kind to the Huskies, dropping their fourth in a row and both games in the Hoosier Conference series, the latest 6-3.
Heights scored first when McKenzie Jackson singled in Heather Crays for the early 1-0 score.
The Berries plated three in the bottom on a three-run home run by Brooklynn Hagerty to take a 3-1 lead.
Crays scored her second run on a Kamryn Rhoton base hit, cutting it to 3-2.
Hagerty smacked another homer to center, her 10th of the season. The Berries scored one more in the third for a 5-2 count.
Ellie Engle trimmed the deficit to 5-3 when she doubled in Kaitlyn Schakel in the fourth.
Logansport got an insurance run in the home half of the sixth to ice the game for the two-game sweep.
The Berries (18-1) won their 17th straight and lead the Hoosier Conference (6-0).
Hamilton Heights (11-6, 3-4 HC) plays next on the road Friday night in a Hoosier Conference placement game.
