Timothy J. Nethery

July 12, 1952 – May 7, 2026

Timothy J. Nethery, 73, Noblesville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. He was born on July 12, 1952, to Ralph and Barbara (Linthicum) Nethery in Noblesville.

Tim was a Tool and Die Maker for GM for 30 years where “he got to go to work” and “wouldn’t turn down overtime.” He enjoyed hunting and fishing, either with his kids or grandkids, or the trips to Colorado, Canada, and Argentina with his long-time buddies. He also enjoyed vacations, camping, snowbirding, and traveling to new places. Tim was an avid NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, and IU sports fan. He liked grabbing coffee with his buddies and going to Jim Dandy. Tim loved his red Chevrolet trucks, family gatherings, the holidays, and good home-cooked meals. He raised Hereford cattle and made hay on his Hobby Farm. He would teach his children and grandchildren the ways of life, even if he had to be stern about it. Tim was a loyal and kind person though he never missed the opportunity to correct a referee.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Nethery; children, Timothy J. “Joe” (Mary) Nethery, II, Jonathan Wade (Heather) Nethery, and Marianne Nethery; grandchildren, Timothy J. “TJ” (Justine) Nethery, III, Kate Nethery, Remi Nethery, Danny Nethery, and Wyatt Nethery; great-grandchildren, Timothy J. “Teo” Nethery, IV and a baby girl this summer; brother, Bill (Rachel) Nethery; sister, Kathy Harvey; twin brother, Tom (Teena) Nethery; brother, Terry (Nancy) Nethery; and many adored nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mildred “Millie” “Granny C” Castor.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Alan Nethery officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
