Devon Wellington secures Democratic nomination for House District 29

On Tuesday night, the voters of House District 29 sent a clear message: they are ready for leadership rooted in listening, coalition building, and a commitment to evidence-based solutions.

Following a spirited primary, Devon Wellington emerged as the Democratic nominee, prepared to carry the momentum of this community-driven campaign into the general election.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust the people of HD29 have placed in me tonight,” Wellington said. “This victory belongs to a community that is ready for a representative who prioritizes results over rhetoric. My focus remains clear: to serve with urgency and to ensure that everyone in District 29 has a representative who is willing to listen and fight for them.”

The primary race was defined by high engagement and community investment. Wellington extended a sincere note of appreciation to the primary challenger for her dedication to the district.

“I want to thank my opponent for her participation in this process and the energy she brought to this race,” Wellington said. “Her involvement pushed our community to have vital conversations, and HD29 is more energized because of it. We are a stronger district when we engage in this democratic process together.”

As the campaign shifts toward the general election, Wellington’s platform remains centered on the immediate, practical needs of Indiana families:

• Tackling Affordability: Addressing the rising costs of living with common-sense policies that support working families and local small businesses.
• Urgent Representation: Establishing a direct, responsive line of communication between the Statehouse and the residents of Noblesville and surrounding areas.
