The Carmel softball team beat Tri-West 4-1 Thursday at Cherry Tree Softball Complex.
The Greyhounds began with three runs in the third inning. Jayden Kleiner hit a solo home run, then Avery Klein smacked a double to score Chloe Junkersfield and Winni Owens.
Megan Pike scored a fourth-inning run on Riley Petrites’ RBI groundout. Pike had two hits, including a double.
Chelsea Bennett pitched five innings for the win.
Carmel is 10-8 and hosts Center Grove on Tuesday.

A Noblesville comeback at Pendleton Heights fell short as the Arabians beat the Millers 16-14 on Thursday.
Pendleton Heights led 16-7 through four innings. Noblesville scored two runs in the fifth, including a solo home run from Blythe Walker. The Millers then got a pair of two-run homers from Haley Schatko and Reese Newsom in the seventh inning before the Arabians got the third out.
Maggie Kern also hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning. She finished the game a perfect 5-for-5 and totaled five RBIs and three runs scored. Walker was 4-for-5, scoring four runs and driving in two. Newsom had three hits and three RBIs.
Roslyn Ervin pitched 4.2 innings, striking out seven.
Noblesville is 1-7 and hosts Westfield tonight in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.

Sheridan dropped a 13-2 Hoosier Crossroads Conference home game to Rossville on Thursday.
Ellie Eaton hit a leadoff home run in the first inning, then Hayleigh Kemp scored a fifth-inning run on a Norah Adams sacrifice fly.
Eaton was 3-for-4 at the plate. Adams pitched a complete game, striking out four.
The Blackhawks are 1-7 and host North Montgomery this afternoon.
