The Noblesville softball team couldn’t have started its weekend off any better. A Friday, April 17 game at Lawrence North helped get their bats going.
The Millers pounded out 18 hits and burst open the floodgates late for a 17-7 win.
Izzy Zapp and Allie Thompson both doubled in the first to help produce a 3-0 lead.
LN tied it at the end of three with two in the second and another in the third.
Noblesville took a 7-3 advantage with two each in the fourth and fifth.
The Wildcats answered with four in the fifth, knotting it 7-7.
The Millers had the last say, scoring a whopping 10 runs in the top of the sixth. The scoring spree was highlighted by home runs by Savannah Decker, Blythe Walker and Haley Schatko, along with three singles and a double to win in six innings.
Zapp went 4-for-4 with four runs and an RBI. Thompson drove in four with Walker and Decker three each.
