Garrett Christman signs with Giants

Noblesville and Butler University baseball player Garrett Christman is going pro.
Christman, a 2014 NHS and 2018 Butler graduate, announced on Thursday night that he has signed with the San Francisco Giants organization as a pitcher. Miller fans remember Christman for his pitching skills, which helped Noblesville to a state championship in 2014.
When making the announcement on Tawitter, Christman said that he was “extremely blessed and proud to join such a great organization!” and thanked his “parents, family, coaches, teammates and friends” that helped and supported him.
In his senior season at Butler, Christman made 13 appearances and picked up four wins. He notched 48 strikeouts and finished the season with an earned-run average of 3.47. Christman also had solid offensive numbers as well, batting .310 and leading the Bulldogs in runs batted in with 48.
Christman was the Reporter’s Player of the Year in 2014, and was drafted in the 37th round by the Giants in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.
