Hounds sail past Orioles

Carmel’s boys took care of business on Saturday, Feb. 14, steadily building a lead to beat Avon 63-36 on Bill Shepherd Court at the Eric Clark Activity Center.

The Greyhounds outscored the Orioles in each quarter, leading 14-7 after the first period. Carmel extended its lead to 30-15 by halftime, then took further control with a 16-7 third quarter for a 46-22 advantage.

Cash Danield led Carmel’s offense with 15 points and eight assists. Evan Harrell added 14 points and pulled six rebounds, while Ben Bremer hit three 3-pointers for nine points.

The Greyhounds are 14-4 and play Friday at Warren Central.
