The Center Grove Trojans recognized 2019 Indiana Mr. Basketball recipient Trayce Jackson-Davis on Friday the 13th, but the top-ranked Fishers Tigers weren’t starstruck.
Instead, the unbeaten Class 4A Tigers paid homage to the current Toronto Raptor and then proceeded to extend their winning streak to 20 consecutive with a 50-44 victory.
Fishers trailed 13-11 after the first quarter before pulling ahead 22-20 by halftime. A 28-point second half kept the Tigers in front.
Both senior Kai McGrew (12 points) and junior Levi Walker (10 points) led the Tigers as double-digit scorers, while senior Jean-Claude L’Homme (nine points) and senior Ethan Hillsman (nine points) nearly joined them.
Junior Cooper Zachary followed with six points (all in the fourth quarter). Freshman Tristan Breland and senior Torey Breland each contributed two points.
