June 2, 1954 – December 11, 2025
Diane C. “Di” Quear, born on June 2, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, was a compassionate, empathetic, and spirited soul who brought joy and warmth into the lives of those she touched.
She married the love of her life, Steven Quear, on June 6, 1981, and they shared a faithful and devoted marriage until his passing on May 8, 2022. A lover of all things tech, she spent her career providing tech support at Baker Hill, where her problem-solving skills and ability to connect with people shone through. A life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, Di’s journey came to a peaceful close on December 11, 2025, when she passed away surrounded by her loving family.
Di was a vibrant and loving woman who had an infectious energy for life. She was an artist at heart, finding joy in painting and expressing her creativity. She was an avid traveler, loved to indulge in a good book or trash TV, and was a fan of rock and classic rock music. Di also had a knack for games, especially Euchre, which she often played with family and friends. She was a proud Jackson Township Trustee and a talented photographer for the local newspapers. Yet, what mattered most to Di was her family. She was the loving matriarch who orchestrated yearly get-togethers, creating memories that her loved ones will cherish forever.
Di leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her sons, Daniel (Amy) Quear and Scott (Stephanie) Quear; step-daughter, Jackie; sister, Susan (John) Thomas; brothers, Brad (Dee) Collinsworth, Jim (Cheryl) Collinsworth, and Mike (Kimberly) Collinsworth; father-in-law, Edward Quear; special friend, Kathy Spooner; several nieces and nephews, and dozens of Quears. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ann Collinsworth.
Join us in celebrating Di’s amazing journey at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, for a memorial service at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. This will be followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Cicero Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hartley Funeral Homes – Cicero.
We invite you to share your memories of Diane and upload photos to the memorial page, honoring her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with us all.
