The Hamilton Heights High School Drama Department invites the community to tumble down the rabbit hole and experience a bold adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
This timeless tale has enchanted audiences for generations, and now it’s being reimagined by the talented theatre arts students of Hamilton Heights.
This special production will transport the audience directly into Wonderland, immersing them in the madness of Alice’s journey from the moment they step into the auditorium. Embrace the weirdness of Wonderland and experience it all as if you were Alice herself. This adaptation explores Alice’s descent into madness as well as her journey toward finding peace within it.
Act I follows Alice’s plunge into Wonderland, where she discovers she can become queen by reaching the final square on a chessboard. Along the way, she encounters bizarre creatures and lands at the infamous Mad Hatter’s tea party.
Act II continues her quest through a bed of talking flowers, a chaotic courtroom trial, and a showdown with the Queen of Hearts. Will Alice find her way back to Dinah – or lose herself in the madness?
Directed by Hamilton Heights Theater Arts Teacher Brooks Myers, this student-led production transforms the high school stage and auditorium into a surreal Wonderland, where every twist and turn of Alice’s journey is brought vividly to life. From set design and costuming to acting and backstage tech, students have shaped every aspect of the show, making this performance a true celebration of creativity, collaboration, and storytelling.

Tickets are $5 and will be available online one week prior to the performances on the high school website. They will also be sold at the door starting 30 minutes before each performance (cash or card). All proceeds benefit the High School Drama Department.
