Royals fall to Bulldogs

Hamilton Southeastern dropped its Hoosier Crossroads Conference and regular-season finale at Brownsburg Friday, Oct. 17 by the score of 35-7.

The Bulldogs scored one touchdown in the first quarter, then added two more TDs in both the second and third periods. The Royals kept fighting, scoring their touchdown on the very last play of the game: Jack Jacobs ran the ball 13 yards into the end zone. Luke Marchionni made the extra-point kick.

Deaken Johnson completed 11 of 22 pass attempts for 76 yards.

Southeastern finished conference play 3-4 and is 5-4 overall. The Royals are off this week, then travel to Homestead on Oct. 31 in the semifinals of Class 6A Sectional 4.
