Sheridan came together for a special event as the Sheridan Lions Club and Phi Beta Psi Sorority teamed up to host their first annual fish fry at Sheridan Elementary School, carrying on the beloved tradition previously held by the Sheridan Volunteer Firemen.

This new partnership between two dedicated community organizations is a testament to Sheridan’s spirit of collaboration and commitment to helping others.

Working together for Sheridan

The success of the fish fry was made possible through the hard work and generosity of both organizations. Twenty members from the Sheridan Lions Club volunteered alongside 20 Phi Beta Psi Sorority members, ensuring the event ran smoothly. In addition to this impressive effort, 18 Phi Beta Psi Sorority members prepared delicious homemade desserts for attendees to choose from.

Supporting local benevolence

All proceeds from the fish fry will go directly to support local benevolence initiatives in the Sheridan community. These funds will make a meaningful impact, helping neighbors in need and strengthening the community’s support network.

Community sponsors

The generous donations from Stowers Ag and Lebanon IGA helped make the fish fry possible. Their contributions reflect the strong ties between local businesses and community organizations in Sheridan.

A tradition continues

As the Sheridan Lions Club and Phi Beta Psi Sorority carry forward a cherished tradition, the first annual fish fry marks not only a delicious evening but also a celebration of community spirit and generosity. Both organizations also provide the annual pork loin dinner for the community.

Thank you to Sheridan Community Schools, all the volunteers, sponsors, and attendees who made this event a success and helped support Sheridan’s ongoing benevolent efforts.
