Charity Golf Scramble will benefit Humane Society for Hamilton County

On Monday, Oct. 6 at 9:30 a.m., the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) will benefit from the second annual Tom Greiwe Fall Classic Charity Golf Scramble.

Last year, the inaugural event raised thousands in honor of Greiwe, a lover of family, dogs, and golf, who passed away in July 2023 after his battle with cancer. His family say he would have been proud to see the community supporting HSHC and that nothing honors his memory more than caring for animals that are in need of support.

With registration for the event now closed, event officials expect to see a record number of participants for the second year in a row. Over the years, this event has grown exponentially through the fervent efforts of the event organizer, Ed Ferris.

HSHC Community Engagement Manager Emma Nobbe says this is an honor like any other.

“To know that so many animals will be helped in the memory of Tom,” Nobbe said. “We couldn’t be more grateful for the support and for this opportunity to continue Tom’s legacy.”
